Check this out! Pictures! Shangri La has wireless. It’s a cool 54 degrees Farenheit here- feels amazing. Our accomodations are amazing too- like little ski chalets. This should be fun.

What’s This?

This is a blog about Whin's three-week trip to China. She leaves the 22nd of July, 2008, and returns August 12. She will begin in Shanghai, go to Zaidang in Guiyang, then to Ta Gong in Chengdu, and end up in Hong Kong. She will have access to a computer, and will try to update whenever she has an internet connection.

This trip was sponsored by ASIANetwork through Maryville College. Five students and one professor will be studying in the effects of globalization on the indigenous groups of the Dong and Tibetan peoples. This is a very important time in China's history, and the data found by the group will add another dimension to the rise of China to word superpower status.
